Wheelchair racer Abby Cook dinner is the forty second presenter of Blue Peter, the world’s longest-running youngsters’s program. She is going to debut on the present on 10 March, exhibiting her expertise and assembly animals on the studio.  

Abby, 20, will co-host alongside Joel Mawhinney, Mwaka Mudenda and Henry the canine. Surprisingly, she’s going to fight her acrophobia as the primary problem on the present. For that, she’s going to abseil down Millers Dale Viaduct (Yorkshire Dales Nationwide Park). 

Cook dinner is a Forth Valley Flyers athletics membership member. She trains twice weekly with the Paralympians. As the brand new presenter of Blue Peter, she stated, “I used to be speechless after I discovered, I needed to verify it was true.”  

The Scottish star added, “It was a really emotional second figuring out I’d really be presenting a present I really like and had grown up with.”  

Ellen Evans (Blue Peter editor) favoured the brand new presenter of Blue Peter. She stated, “When Abby got here to the studio, we knew she could be nice for the present as a result of she has an unstoppable ‘can do’ angle.”  

“She’s up for any problem and we all know she’ll join superbly with our viewers as a result of she has an actual affinity for working with younger folks, however she additionally has the largest of hearts,” she added.  

Blue Peter airs at 5 pm on Fridays on BBC iPlayer and CBBC. It first aired in 1958.
