It’s the UEFA Champions League Remaining this Saturday, when Manchester Metropolis play Inter Milan in Istanbul. Sid Lee and Chinese language client electronics firm Oppo are marking the occasion with a worldwide marketing campaign that includes Brazilian footballer Ricardo Kaka.
Kaka additionally performed a Champions League last in Istanbul again in 2005, when his group AC Milan had been overwhelmed by Liverpool, due to a legendary last-minute objective.
The match is understood in some quarters as “The Miracle in Istanbul,” and on this movie Kaka (who went on to win the event a few years later) charitably reminds us that miracles don’t simply occur, they’re the product of onerous work, professionalism and experience.
Stephen Corridor, CEO, Sid Lee London, mentioned: “Over time, the UEFA Champions League has produced many miraculous moments of footballing drama. It’s been a pleasure working with OPPO to deliver a few of these moments to life via such a splendidly crafted marketing campaign.”
Olivella Liu, international model director, Oppo, mentioned: “This marketing campaign brilliantly displays Oppo’s ‘Inspiration Forward’ model positioning. We’re delighted to showcase our UCL partnership via such highly effective and genuine storytelling.”
It’s a transparent message and the “miracle montage” is nice viewing.
