MAA blast from the previous: Nike – ‘write the long run’

Haven’t had certainly one of these for some time. chatting to a seasoned artistic director the opposite day we determined that Nike’s huge award-winner ‘Write the Future’ for the 2010 World Cup, was, possibly, the excessive watermark of a type of promoting that has been largely beached by the digital tide.

Not that it’s the best advert ever, though it’s one of many extra engrossing: what’s all of it about? Wayne Rooney exiled to a caravan for freely giving a penalty? Ronaldo scores one, one course (in any other case he most likely wouldn’t have turned up.)

On the time Wieden+Kennedy was on the high of its appreciable recreation regardless that there have been, apparently, ructions ‘twixt company, consumer and manufacturing firm at awards time. They most likely shot sufficient movie for one more Struggle and Peace to get their three minutes.

Clearly adverts couldn’t proceed getting longer and costlier, even with out the push to digital. Should have been a fortunate time to be an company artistic.
