FTC Raises 2023 Civil Penalty Quantities


The Federal Commerce Fee (FTC) printed revised quantities for civil penalties which have been adjusted for brand spanking new inflation charges, as required by the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 2015. These will increase are primarily based on a prescribed method.  

The brand new most civil penalty has elevated from $46,517 to $50,120 for violations of Sections 5(l), 5(m)(1)(A), and 5(m)(1)(B) of the FTC Act, Part 7A(g)(l) of the Clayton Act, and Part 525(b) of the Power Coverage and Conservation Act. 

For violations of Part 10 of the FTC Act, the utmost penalty has risen from $612 to $659. 

Most penalties for violations of Part 814(a) of the Power Independence and Safety Act of 2007 elevated from $1,323,791 to $1,426,319.
